2026 The 32nd Zigong Lantern Creative Competition Launches Globally – Calling All Participants!
In Zigong, where light, shadow and craftsmanship converge, lantern art is not just a craft but the city’s cultural calling card. As a national intangible cultural heritage, Zigong lanterns carry salt culture, dinosaur culture and southern Sichuan folk customs, extending the light and shadow of history and life. To revitalize the vitality of intangible cultural heritage and empower the new development of cultural tourism, the "Zigong Lantern Creative Competition", co-sponsored by Zigong State-owned Investment Group and Zigong Cultural Tourism Development Group, is now calling for global submissions of works with cultural recognition, artistic appeal and practical feasibility. Outstanding works will be showcased at the Mid-Autumn and National Day Garden Party of the 32nd Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival, meeting the public in the most influential lantern festival venue. This will inject youthful vitality into traditional craftsmanship and bring the lantern charm of Salt City to cities, lives and the world.
